Top 5 Things That I Find Suprising/Curious/Interesting About Japan and/or Japanese Cuture

1. Girls and boys don't have P.E. together, yet they both have class in the same gym at the same time, which only results in the girls playing badmitton getting hit in the head by stray basketballs.
2. It seems pefectly acceptable (based on the boy who sits next to me) to sleep in glass, but you're not allowed to eat or drink.
3. While student bow to their teachers before class, it's also a common pastime, while waiting for the school bus, to visit the teachers' room and unrelentingly harrass the teachers.
4. Kids go to school super far away from where they live--and it's totally normal.
5. People don't lock up their bicycles; they just leave them out on the street.
6. Why so much mayonnaise?
